Photographing a Wedding at Chateau Briand

Chateau Briand · 440 Old Country Road, Carle Place, NY 11514

Chateau Briand in Carle Place is a modern, design-forward venue — sleek ballrooms, sculptural lighting, dramatic staircases and grand-entrance moments. It photographs boldly, and like most interiors venues it rewards a deliberate plan.

What the venue gives you

Contemporary ballrooms with statement lighting and finishes, a striking staircase, lounge and cocktail spaces designed to look good on camera, and choreographed entrance moments. Outdoor space is limited; the interiors carry the gallery.

Where the portraits happen

  • The main staircase — the signature frame.
  • The reception room before doors open — clean lines and lighting.
  • The lounge and cocktail spaces — textured, moody frames.
  • A nearby outdoor spot — a short drive if you want greenery.

Timeline notes

Get into the reception room for a few frames before it opens. The staircase and lounges are usable throughout the night. If an outdoor portrait matters to you, plan the travel time; otherwise lean fully into the interiors.

The rain plan

Fully indoors, so weather is a non-issue unless you scheduled an off-site outdoor stop.

Frequently asked questions

Is the lighting hard to work with?
It’s dramatic and colored in places, which is great for atmosphere and needs care for skin tones. We light portraits ourselves and use the room’s design as the backdrop.
Can we do photos outside?
On-site outdoor space is minimal. For a green frame we’d take a short trip to a nearby park — tell us in advance so it’s in the timeline.
