Picture day looks simple from the outside — sit down, smile, next. Running it well for 600 students in a day is mostly logistics, and the difference shows up in the portraits and in how many angry parent emails the front office gets.
The schedule is the product
We build a minute-by-minute schedule with the school — class by class, staggered so there’s always a line of two or three students ready but never a crowd. Teachers get a printed slot. A good schedule means each child gets a relaxed thirty seconds instead of a rushed ten, and the day still finishes on time.
Consistent light, consistent look
The lighting and camera settings are locked at setup and not touched all day, so the kindergarten photos and the fifth-grade photos match on the same composite and in the yearbook. We shoot a test card, check skin tones, and leave it alone.
Retakes handled properly
Blinks, bad hair days, absences — a retake day a few weeks later catches everyone, and those retakes use the same setup so they drop straight into the composite. Parents are told the retake date up front.
Ordering that doesn’t frustrate anyone
Proofs go online; parents order what they want, when they want, and prints ship to home or school. No pre-pay envelope guessing, no ‘package C’ math in the car line. See school photography for the full service — picture day, class and team photos, faculty portraits, and graduation.
