What it is
School photography, start to finish
School photography is the annual record of a school community — every student, every class, every team and club, and the staff who hold it together. It has to be produced fast, on a school’s schedule, without losing classroom time, and it has to look good enough for a family to frame.
Richard Black Studio brings event-photography standards to that job. We photograph individual picture-day portraits, class and grade groups, sports teams and activity clubs, faculty and staff, and the events across the year — concerts, plays, dances, science fairs, PTA fundraisers and galas. Every image goes into a private online gallery, and each family chooses and pays for the prints, packages and digital files they want. No envelopes, no pre-pay, no money collected at the front office.

We build the schedule with your office, set up a clean portrait station with proper lighting, and move a class through in minutes with friendly direction that gets a real smile.

How ordering works
Families buy the photos they want
We handle the ordering so the school doesn’t have to. After picture day, every student’s images go into a private online gallery and families choose and pay for exactly the photos, prints and digital files they want.
- We photograph the day. Portraits, class groups and any teams or events on the schedule, matched to your bell schedule and space.
- Galleries go online. Each student’s photos are posted to a private, name- or ID-matched gallery, usually within days.
- Families get a link. The school shares one link, or we email families directly — they view proofs on their own schedule.
- Each family orders what it wants. Prints, wall art, digital downloads and packages, bought through the gallery and shipped to the family.
No cost to the school, no order forms to distribute, and no minimum purchase for families.
