The studio
Photography first, for decades
Richard Black Studio has spent years photographing the events that matter most to families across Long Island and New York — from Gold Coast estates and city rooftops to synagogues, catering halls and backyards. The approach has always been the same: lead with still photography, stay unobtrusive, and come home with a complete record of the day, not just its highlights.
Over time the studio grew to cover the whole event — cinematic films alongside the photography, and professional live streaming for the family and friends who can’t be in the room. Photo, film and stream are planned as one operation, by people who have shot the venue before and know where the light is at five o’clock.
